What is air up?
Water is the healthiest way to stay hydrated but also the most ordinary, some might even say, boring one. That’s why many of us struggle to drink enough.
Not with air up: We add delicious flavor to plain water through scent alone. We don’t need any additives or sugar to give water a cherry, apple or even kola flavor. So, you drink plain water only but taste whatever flavor you prefer.
Come on, this sounds too good to be true! Well, it isn’t…
The science behind air up
The biological process air up uses to flavor water through scent is something every human experiences whenever they eat or drink. It’s fascinating that the majority of what we perceive as taste actually comes from smell rather than our tongues. Our tongues can only detect basic tastes like sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami. The true perception of flavor—what makes a strawberry taste like a strawberry—comes from a process known as retronasal olfaction.
In simple terms, airflow carries the scent of what we eat or drink (in this case, from flavored pods) through the throat and up to a part of your brain that sits above your nose. By exhaling this scented air through your nose, we’re able to perceive the flavor. Mind-blowing, right?
By the way, this is also why you don’t fully experience flavor when you have a cold and your nasal passages are blocked. During a cold the retronasal olfaction process simply isn’t working properly.
How to use air up
The key component of the air up drinking system is the scent pod. These are filled with natural aromas from e.g. fruits and herbs and release the scent molecules while you drink pure water.
The air up bottle is designed to hold both, water and a scent pod. It has a straw-like mechanism that helps deliver the scent from the flavor pod into your mouth, through your throat and up to your nose - where you ultimately taste.
So, fill your bottle with water, put a flavor pod on the mouthpiece of the bottle - tada, you’re ready to sip!
How long does an air up pod last?
One single air up pod works its magic for at least 5 litres of water. This means you can refill our 600ml bottles over 8 times and our 1L bottles around 5 times. Cheers to that!

¿Qué contiene exactamente el pod?
Los aromas de nuestros pods vienen de ingredientes naturales. Frutas, especias, hierbas, ese tipo de cosas. Después, estos aromas se aplican a un material permeable al aire. Aquí todo es natural.
¿De dónde sacamos los ingredientes?
Aunque no podemos revelar todos nuestros secretos, sí podemos decir que todos nuestros aromas proceden de un fabricante de primera categoría que los extrae de fuentes naturales. Luego, nuestro equipo de creación de aromas elabora una variedad de sabores únicos a partir de estos ingredientes, y voilà: ¡se crea un pod de sabor! Además, estamos muy orgullosos de confirmar que nuestros pods también son aptos para veganos y vegetarianos.
¿Cómo evito que mi botella gotee?
Nuestra botella tiene una válvula de presión en la boquilla, para que puedas beber sin parar. Para evitar fugas, ¡bebe sin girar la botella! Mantén la botella derecha como si bebieras de un vaso con pajita. El agua también podría salirse si el pod no está unido a la boquilla o si la tapa no está bien cerrada.
¿Se puede usar air up® con la nariz tapada?
Es como intentar bailar sin música. La magia de air up® está en el aroma, así que si tu nariz se toma un día libre, el sabor puede parecer un poco apagado. Cuando el olfato retronasal está en pausa, la experiencia del sabor no llega tan lejos.
¿Puedo añadir hielo a la botella? ¿Y agua con gas?
¡Claro que sí! Pon un poco de hielo, vierte el agua con gas y tendrás un refresco burbujeante. Tu botella air up® puede con ambos. ¿Quién dijo que la hidratación tenía que ser aburrida?
¿Cómo limpio mi botella air up®?
¡A enjabonar! Para mantener tu botella air up® en perfecto estado, te recomendamos que la laves a mano con agua tibia y jabón suave. Desmonta la botella y frota a fondo la pajita, la boquilla y la tapa. Usa un cepillo para llegar a todos esos rincones escondidos. No olvides retirar el pod antes de limpiar la botella. Vuelve a introducir el pod en la bolsa resellable para mantener fresco el sabor. ¿Por qué mi air up® hace burbujas?
Nuestra botella air up® usa pods aromatizados para crear una experiencia de sabor. Por eso, cuando bebes de nuestra botella, es normal que cada sorbo incluya pequeñas burbujas de aire. Estas burbujas de aire transportan el sabor del pod y permiten que el cerebro experimente el aroma como sabor, ¡sin añadir nada al agua! Así que recuerda, burbujas = magia en proceso.
