Why can’t I taste anything?

Not getting any flavor from your air up® bottle? 🍓 No worries, this usually comes down to a small setup detail. Here’s what to check to get that scent-based flavor flowing again:

Is your bottle assembled correctly? Let’s cover the basics:

  • Insert the straw into the mouthpiece all the way up to the marked line.

  • Make sure the mouthpiece is aligned correctly on the bottle—tip pointing down (“south”).

  • See a small gap at the back of the mouthpiece? Totally normal, it’s the pressure valve doing its job.

➡️ Tip: If the straw isn’t fully inserted or aligned, airflow might be blocked—and that means no flavor.

Is your pod activated? 🕵️ Pod activation works differently depending on your mouthpiece. Here’s what to do:

  • PullUp Mouthpiece Slide the pod upwards until it reaches the line. You should see a small gap under the pod—this means it’s “on” and releasing scent.

  • ActiveOn Mouthpiece Slide the pod downwards gently—it’s a small movement, and you don’t need to press hard. ➡️ Simply closing the lid automatically activates the pod.

  • Tumbler No need to do anything—the pod is always active when you sip.

No scent = no flavor. Double-check that your pod is properly activated! 👀

Are the airflow holes clear? 💨 Tiny holes in the straw and mouthpiece help deliver the scent.

  1. Blocked holes = blocked airflow = no flavor.

  2. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently clear them—it really makes a difference!

Do you feel bubbles while sipping? 🫧 Those little bubbles? They’re key to the flavor magic. They carry the scent to your nose and make plain water taste like… something else. ➡️ No bubbles = no scent = no flavor. If your sip is silent and flat, something might be blocking the system.

Is the pod still fresh? Pods last about 5 liters of water (~8 refills of a 600ml bottle). Smell test:

  • Still smells? ✅ It’s working.

  • No scent? ❌ Pod is used up—time for a new one.

  • Brand new, but no scent? It might be defective—try another pod or flavor.
